Steele & Co. was established in 2010. But our story began in 1976.

In 1976 Mary Steele began making a simple, utilitarian bar soap for her family–free of chemicals and artificial ingredients. It quickly became a coveted family commodity.

Our products are inspired by her do-it-yourself ethos and iconically West Coast spirit. The first Steele & Co. products were created using the same equipment that Mary used, passed down to her grandson and our founder, Michael St Claire.

All of our creations are individually blended, poured, and packaged by hand on the wild coast of Vancouver Island.

Our ingredients are sourced based on the strength of their quality, ethical origins, and the requirement that they contribute to our self-care, not diminish it.
